Grumpy custom paint artwork

Rocky Jr.'s 2nd Annual Flatland Panel Jam

April 28th, 2007 These are this year's pics from Rocky's pin-striping panel jam. Starting at 10am and ending at 6pm, this one-day event produced eye-popping artwork of all types for visitors and the general public wandering in and out all day. Over 40 striped/painted items were auctioned off at the end of the day totaling an $1800 donation for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas.

More than doubling in size since its beginning in 2006, veteran as well as beginner stripers from all over Kansas and other states such as Colorado and Missouri traveled to Wichita, Kansas to participate this year. There were all types of hot rod Eye Kandy both in the shop/artist area as well as in the outside parking area.

Helping to make this event a success, were sponsors such as Mack Brush Co., BOBBO Super Quad Brushes, 1-Shot Paint, Alsa Corporation Paint, Ronan Paint, and several others.

Rocky provided all the food and drink which included grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, deviled eggs, and more, making sure no one was hungry. Add to the fact that it was a beautiful, 75 degree, sunny day, and you couldn't ask for a better way to spend a Saturday.

All in all, a great event. Everyone is invited next year too. Whether you paint or just like the Kustom Kulture and would like to look or purchase some neat, original artwork for your walls.

Enjoy,
Grump
